This privacy policy describes how Setwise ("we", "us", "our" or "Setwise app") collects, uses, and protects personal data of users of our website setwise.app and the Setwise mobile application.

By using our website, signing up for the waitlist, or using the application, you agree to this privacy policy.

2.1. Waitlist on the Website

When you sign up for the waitlist, we may collect:

• your chosen platform (Android, iOS, or both)
• whether you are a trainer/coach (if you indicate this)
• date and time of registration

2.2. Use of Setwise Mobile App (Beta)

When you use the mobile app, we may collect:

Account data:

• email address
• display name (if you enter one)

Workout data:

• exercises, sets, reps, weights
• intensifiers
• notes on individual sets or workouts
• basic progress statistics displayed by the app

Technical data:

• device model, operating system version, app version
• information about app performance and errors (e.g., crash logs, errors)

Data for AI features (if you use them):

• content you enter into features like "text-to-workout" or similar (e.g., workout description in text)

2.3. Communication with Us

If you contact us by email or through a form, we collect:

• message content and attached files
• date and time of communication

2.4. Cookies and Technical Data on the Website

On the website, we may use:

• essential technical cookies necessary for the site to function (e.g., storing basic settings)

We currently do not use analytics or advertising cookies. If we introduce them in the future, we will update this policy.

3. Purposes of Data Processing

1. Managing the waitlist and beta notifications
   • to notify you when a new beta testing round opens and send you a download link

   • creating and managing your account
   • storing and displaying your workouts and statistics
   • syncing data between device and server
   • legal basis: performance of the service you wish to use
3. Performance analysis and bug fixing
   • monitoring app performance
   • detecting and fixing errors (crash logs, errors)
   • legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the app
4. AI features
   • processing workout descriptions or other data you enter into AI features to generate structured workouts or other results
   • legal basis: performance of the feature you initiate and our legitimate interest in providing advanced features

   • responding to your questions
   • sending important notifications about the beta, app changes, or this policy
   • legal basis: service performance and our legitimate interest

4. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as necessary for the purposes stated above:

• waitlist data: as long as the waitlist exists or until you unsubscribe
• account and workout data: as long as you have an active account; upon account deletion, we delete or anonymize data where possible, unless law requires longer retention
• communication (email): typically until the end of communication and a reasonable period thereafter, unless law dictates otherwise
• technical logs: typically a few days to a few months, depending on diagnostic needs

5. Third-Party Providers

We use the following third-party providers for app operation:

• Supabase – database, authentication, and backend infrastructure
• Sentry – tool for monitoring errors and app performance
• Google AI Studio – AI models used for features like converting text workout descriptions into structured plans

These providers process data according to their own terms of use and privacy policies published on their websites.

We currently do not use other third-party providers for personal data processing. If we add them, we will update this policy accordingly.

6. Data Transfer Outside the EU

Servers of some providers mentioned above may be located outside the European Union (e.g., in the USA). This means your data may be processed and stored in countries with different data protection laws.

Where possible, we choose settings and server locations closer to the EU region, but this is not always entirely under our control as it depends on each provider's configuration.

Under applicable law (including GDPR), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• right to access (a copy of your data)

The Setwise app is intended for adult users and persons over 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16. If we discover we have collected such data, we will delete it.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will always be published at setwise.app/privacy with the date of the last update.

If there are significant changes, we will try to notify you through the app or email (if appropriate).
